Gina Marie Whitehead and Noah Bruun

JMartich invites you to take a closer look at the man and woman behind Artist &Agency, one of the most fashion forward agencies in New York City representing
photographers and directors, co-founded by Noah Bruun and Gina Whitehead.
Representing
some of the industry’s best photographers such as Mark Squires, Rasmus
Mogensen, Hamid Bechiri and several other amazing talents. Most recently, former Elle Magazine Creative Director and world
famous French photographer, Gilles Bensimon has been added to the already impressive
list of photographers. Gina: “We are very
grateful. Thank you to my cousin Jesse Newhouse and his wife Stephanie Newhouse
for the introduction.”
Noah and
Gina have both turned their childhood passion for art and photography into
their dream careers long before they founded artist and Agency. Gina: “I
remember making a camera out of a disposable one when I was 12. I have loved
photography for as long as I can remember. The idea of capturing a concept,
forever, was crazy, It kept me going!”.
Gina,
born to an American father and a Spanish mother, grew up in France. She met her Danish business partner Noah
through a common friend, Aida Bakhet, who urged them to meet seeming that the
both of them, worked in the same industry, and happened to be very spiritual.
Little
did they know that they have found a business partner and spiritual sibling in
one another! When the two of them met, it was a business match made in heaven.
Gina: “I feel like I’ve known him
forever. “ Noah: “me too, it was all
very organic”.
 
Gina and
Noah opened Artist & Agency in New York City where they both reside. Despite
their location, they don’t discriminate; their projects take them all over the
world! Noah: “We just got back from
London actually!” Some of the cities and countries we have worked in are Paris,
London, Hong Kong, L.A., NYC, Iceland, Denmark, Russia among other cities,
countries.
How did Artist and Agency come
about?
Gina: “This
business reaches out to you. I worked at Vanity Fair when I first moved here,
time went by, I made decisions, met people and here I am! ARTIST & AGENCYcame out of our gut, heart and soul. You’re welcome!”.
How would you describe your
working method?
Gina: “Our
work ethic is organized and very specific. Noah and I meet just every Monday to
increase productivity. Even on VERY BUSY weeks we will squeeze in a miniature
5-minute meeting.”
Noah: “Yeah, we
have a very clear, serious business strategy and we will live to see it
through.”
The word integrity is often
associated to your business…
Gina: Well
yeah that’s because we are proud to be totally transparent, strong, reliable,
honest, SOUND human beings. From the bottom of our hearts and with utmost

Can you name a few iconic projects
Artist and Agency has been involved in?
Gina: “Gilles shooting Kate Upton was good times! Noah had some pretty
intimate moments on set with Torkil Gudnason for his new nude series, see here .
Mark Squires shot Nicole Triunfo for SCENE Magazine and Erin Wasson for Zink, which was loads of fun. MiZo shot three commercials for NEURO and shot for Adobe Creative Suite 6: see here.
Noah: “The
big job we just shot in London has blown our minds AND we have a TV commercial
to shoot for the same client in a week so… I can safely say that’s our biggest
production thus far.”

Gina: “The
future brings quite a few surprises actually. Stay in touch ;) A preview…
hmm… that wouldn’t be right by our
clients but I can say this: We are aiming big.”.
